A/Prof Allison Tong is an Associate Professor with a NHMRC Career Development Fellowship and a Principal Research Fellow at the Sydney School of Public Health, The University of Sydney.
Her research expertise is in the field of chronic disease in children and adults; and she has a particular interest in priority setting and patient-centred outcomes. She teaches applied qualitative research methods at The University of Sydney and has been invited to give lectures at top-ranked institutions including Stanford University, University of Chicago, and the Mayo Clinic.
Since 2004, Allison has published 135 peer-reviewed journal articles including two seminal reporting guidelines for qualitative health research (COREQ, ENTREQ) which have been endorsed by the international EQUATOR network for promoting transparency in research and by high impact journals including the BMJ.
